Euro 2008 team profile: Switzerland
Switzerland
Switzerland made history in the 2006 World Cup when eliminated without conceding a goal, and as hosts they will be determined to build on this and make a real impression. Coach Kobi Kohn has already announced he will quit after the tournament.
Recent friendly results have been less than impressive, including a 4-0 defeat at home to Germany. Despite this, the squad is packed with youth, and if one of their forwards finds their scoring boots they are well-drilled enough to give the locals something to yodel about.
